FUND RAISER AT ELEVATION: On Saturday 19th June, a Fundraising Auction Night was held at the Elevation restaurant in Main Street, Emerald.
The restaurant was fully booked out for the night with people looking for great bargains from the many lots donated by local businesses and others.
At the end of the night, a massive $7,500 was raised. This money will buy new training aids and equipment for the new station.
A big thank you goes to Ken Bilman and his staff at Elevations, Jody Yandle (Brigade Treasurer) for their hard work in organising the night and the businiesses both local and others who generiously donated lots for auction.

BRIGADE ELECTION: The Brigade elections were held at the station on Wednesday 7th April. The result is as follows:
Captain: Paul Yandle
1st Lieutenant: Collin Griffin
2nd Lieutenant: Calum Bean
3rd Lieutenant: Clayton Bryant
4th Lieutenant: Warren Fuller
Communications Officer: Tim Penketh
Thanks go to Lex De Man, General
Manager Region 13, Steve Cameron, Cockatoo Captain and Ex Captain Cockatoo Graham Simpson for there time as scrutineers of the election.
The elected Officers start there duties on 1st July 2010.

NEW BRIGADE OWNED VEHICLE: Over a number of years the Brigade has been fundraising for a replacement brigade owned vehicle. This has been done through donations, brigade fundraising at events, Community Benefit at Ritchies and St Marks Church Opp Shop to name a few.
The vehicle is well past it's operational life and is need of replacement.
At a recent special brigade meeting held at the station, a number of proposals, suggestions and ideas were put forward by a number of brigade members.
At the end of a lengthy meeting, the brigade voted on a updated Salvage vehicle.
It is hoped that the vehicle will be built in time for the official opening of the new station.
Again, a big thank you to the Emerald Community for making this possible.
