PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITY SINCE 1941

WHAT WE DO

EMERGENCIES

EFB firefighters are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, responding to many emergencies across the Emerald and surrounding area. While our main responsibility is wildfire and structural fire suppression, we respond to hazardous material spills, gas leaks, motor vehicle accidents and other community service requests.

EDUCATION

The brigade runs many fire safety education initiatives throughout the year including Bushfire Information Sessions and FireSafe Kids Programs. We believe early education is vital for both young children when learning about the dangers associated with fire and for adults in understanding the risks of living in fire prone areas.

RECRUITMENT

We are always looking for new recruits, especially if you are available during weekdays. Our members come from all walks of life and all share one passion; to help others in need. If you've ever thought about joining, now is the time. Click below to learn more!
